LOOK OUT – STEP IS RUNNING “I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR” CONFERENCES IN TECHNICAL COLLEGES

This February and March will see TEVET students across the country come together to discuss how they can start their own businesses after they graduate from college.  STEP’s partner, Youth to Youth Empowerment, will be hosting these unique conferences with participation from young successful entrepreneurs, credit unions, banks, MRA, and TEVETA.

STEP Ambassadors Sangie and Robert Chiwamba will be on hand to chat with students and to share their poem “Wachinyamata ndi Bomba” and song “Titaketake #Get busy” on entrepreneurship.

The main aim of the conferences is to equip young people in technical colleges with skills, information and opportunities for establishing small and medium sized businesses in Malawi.

The first conference has been scheduled for 23 February, 2018 at Mzuzu Technical College where the students will discuss how they can establish small business whilst in college and grow the businesses when they graduate.

Apart from Mzuzu Technical College, Youth to Youth Empowerment will also conduct the conferences in Zomba at Nasawa Technical College on 2nd March, in Lilongwe at Lilongwe Technical College on 20th March and in Phalombe at Naminjiwa Technical College on 27th March.
